Ono a surpringly sunny May weekend some 80,000 people flocked to the Brussels city centre on Saturday to attend the 18th edition of Belgian Pride (10,000 up on last year).

The event comprises an afternoon parade and a late-night street party.

This year the organises, the LGBTQI community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Intersex), celebrated a double anniversary. Belgium introduced gay marriage 10 years ago, while 7 years ago same sex couples were given the legal right to adopt children.
