The six human needs, speaks about whatever emotion you’re after, whatever vehicle you pursue— be it building a business, getting married, raising a family, traveling the world—whatever you think your nirvana is, there are six basic, universal needs that make us tick and drive all human behavior. Combined, they are the force behind the crazy things (other) people do and the great things we do. 😉 We all have the same six needs, but how we value those needs and in what order, determines the direction of our life.
Our rules shape us, they make up who we are. There’s nothing wrong with that! It’s when our rules become unreasonable and make our relationships more difficult that we need to re-evaluate and re-shape our beliefs and our values so they create more harmony, not conflict.

Proximity is power
If you want to turn your dreams and goals into a reality faster, you must get yourself in proximity with people who are playing the game at a higher level than you are. Proximity is power! Whether it’s your business, health, finances, or relationships – surrounding yourself with people who are already successful in that area allows you to model what is proven to work, helping you compress decades into days.
The 5 steps of transformation
The first step, he says, is “satiation”. It’s the stage where there’s nothing really wrong with your life. But, eventually, boredom and complacency creep in and we start craving something different.
The second step occurs when satiation turns into “dissatisfaction.” “The same thing I was doing that was fulfilling is just empty now,” he says. “It’s actually a little painful. I can’t take this anymore.”
The third step is what he describes as “threshold”. “If you get enough dissatisfaction, there’s enough leverage in you, there’s a part where your brain goes, no more. Not another day. Not another hour. Not another moment,” he says.
This insight, on hitting your threshold, gives way to the fourth stage, or the “truth”. “You get the truth, usually,” he says. “It’s not my mother, my brother, my sister, my boss, me, my co-workers. It’s me. Oh, Lord. And I’ve got to shift what? And you know the truth.”
Finally, we achieve an emotional breakthrough at stage five, or what he calls an “opening”. Real transformation takes place, he says, when “you jump through the opening, not knowing what’s on the other side.”
