Angelina Jolie only woman in the top 10 highest paid actors

1007

The Media Center released the top 10 highest paid actors in 2013. Hollywood women obviously did not break the glass ceiling for unequal pay between men and women since Angelina Jolie, with $33 million, is the only woman in the ranking (9th position).

The top spot place is occupied by Robert Downey Jr whose role in Iron Man earned him no less than $75 million. Channing Tatum ($60 million) and Hugh Jackman ($55 million) round out the top three.

In the ranking of the highest paid actresses, young actress Jennifer Lawrence, who we have seen a lot of this year, earned $26 million, followed by Kristen Stewart, the Twilight star who collected $21.5 million. Jennifer Aniston made fourth place with an annual salary of $20 million.

The Media Center study notes a key phenomenon in actress rankings is that they are, for the most part, quite young. The oldest bankable female star is Sandra Bullock, 49, a good 12 years younger than Liam Neeson, the oldest in the male ranking (in tenth position with $31.5 million).
