Success stories abound in Brussels and Belgium

A worrying new survey paints a depressing picture of the state of affairs for many businesses in Belgium.

The study by GraydonCreditsafe has found that close on 2,000 enterprises in Brussels alone went to the wall in 2023.

According to data, that is no less than 15 percent higher than the number of business bankruptcies in the previous 12 months.

There is some good news, however, in the shape of numerous business “success stories” that still abound in Brussels and the rest of Belgium.

One such business is Aspira which has three Brussels fitness clubs and dedicated spaces.

These feature Hyperice equipment, including massage guns, compression boots, vibrating spheres, and foam rollers. In addition, massage therapists offer sports massages for targeted recovery from injury.

There is also a workshop which is an interactive blend of theory and practice to help people explore recovery, optimise training and achieve physical and mental balance.

Another successful enterprise are CCL language centres which offer newcomers here to integrate seamlessly into Belgium.

It has French and Dutch courses, specifically designed to help develop linguistic skills tailored to life in Belgium. Its language courses, focused on active learning, are designed to help develop oral communication skills in both professional and everyday contexts.

Elsewhere, the International Montessori Schools are also proving highly popular.  They stimulate learning environments for children with bilingual programmes offering an individualised and caring approach.

With over 15 years of expertise in residential and commercial real estate, Langlais & Langlais has establishing itself in Lasne, on the outskirts of Brussels.

It combines a personalized approach with in-depth knowledge of the local market. The aim is to deliver discretion, efficiency and transparency in supporting real estate projects, whether it’s a sale, purchase, or investment.

In the same sector,Engel & Völkers boasts a local and expert team to valuate properties with precision and care, ensuring it’s valued at the right price.   It has various offices including in Uccle, Waterloo and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre.

Yet more success on the business front can be found up at the Belgian coast in the swish resort of Knokke-Heist  which, this winter, has been transformed into a Scandinavian winter experience.
