Here’s a treat to look forward to this weekend: Thé Dansant Summer in the majestic ruins of the Abbey of Villers in Brabant Walloon.
On Sunday, May 17, this annual event returns with the theme “Wicked Wonders”, a world “where ancient magic awakens” amidst the historic stones of the abbey.
Two stages will welcome visitors: the House Mainstage and the Techno Courtyard, with the monastery as an exceptional backdrop.
The dress code, said a spokesman for the event, invites visitors to let their imagination run wild: wizards, witches, druids, forest spirits, fairies, dark queens, mages, or magical creatures from dark ghosts. Recommended colors are midnight blue, black, silver, gold, and deep purple.
Respect for the environment is the buzzword: From the generator on the ground to the current energy zone, it is a “Pull the Plug” concept.
Reusable cups are used throughout the event, and free portable ashtrays are distributed to limit cigarette waste.
The abbey is located at Villers-la-Ville and is easily reached from Brussels.
