Autoworld goes into top gear for the autumn

Brussels’ famous car museum Autoworld has gone into top gear for the autumn.

From 14 to 16 November Autoworld Brussels will host an exceptional encounter between craftsmanship and contemporary creation, called, “When Expertise Meets Art II.”

This three-day event is an initiative by BEL, the Brussels label that brings together more than sixty exceptional houses and workshops to showcase their expertise and creativity.

During When Expertise Meets Art II, the museum offers a stage for contemporary creation, craftsmanship and emotion — disciplines that enrich and inspire one another throughout the exhibition.

At the heart of the museum, nearly sixty creative collaborations come to life. Each duo, composed of a BEL member and an artist, designer, school or creative studio, gives rise to a unique and immersive experience where technical mastery and artistic expression merge harmoniously.

As a member of BEL, Autoworld will also present its own creation as part of When Expertise Meets Art II.

For this occasion, the museum will unveil an art installation by Manok, created in collaboration with Studio One To One(architects Pierre Lallemand and Nicolas Van Eetvelde).

The piece, offering a glimpse of the future “Autoworlds”, symbolises the museum’s renewal, linking heritage with creativity, architecture and movement.

There is also the museum’s exhibition “German Tuners from the 80’s and the 90’s

Over these three days, visitors can explore the creative collaborations of BEL while (re)discovering Autoworld’s permanent collection.

The temporary exhibition “German Tuners from the 80’s and the 90’s” celebrates the outrageous creativity of German tuners in the 1980s and 1990s

At a time when car manufacturers tended to play it safe, these visionaries went wild with turbo engines, wide wheels, flamboyant colours, dramatic spoilers and bold design — excess was never enough.
