As the festive season approaches, Brussels once again lights up with elegance, indulgence and refined celebration. For Christmas 2025, Sofitel Brussels Europe invites guests to immerse themselves in a world of French-inspired luxury, where gastronomy, design and conviviality come together in the heart of the European Quarter.
Since November, Sofitel hotels around the world illuminate their lobbies and façades to mark the festive period. At Sofitel Brussels Europe, the hotel’s beautifully decorated lobby becomes the centrepiece of the season, an inviting, sophisticated setting designed for memorable moments with loved ones.

A Festive Season with French Flair
Located on the vibrant Place Jourdan, Sofitel Brussels Europe offers a distinctly Parisian interpretation of the holidays, blending Belgian warmth with French art de vivre. Throughout December, guests are invited to enjoy seasonal experiences that elevate Christmas in Brussels beyond tradition, combining culinary creativity, elegant surroundings and attentive hospitality.

Whether stopping by for a festive cocktail, a refined dinner or a celebratory brunch, the hotel offers multiple ways to experience the magic of the season.

Christmas Eve Dining at The 1040
On 24 December 2025, Sofitel Brussels Europe’s signature restaurant, The 1040, unveils a specially crafted Christmas Eve menu designed by Chef Fabrice Pantale. The evening celebrates winter flavours with finesse, creativity and a strong sense of occasion.

The culinary journey begins with a delicate amuse-bouche, followed by a refined pre-starter. Guests can choose between sea bream ceviche with black sesame and black lemon, or a vegetarian alternative featuring green pasta rice with soy flakes. The starter continues with a perfectly cooked 64°C egg, served with seasonal mushrooms and Parmesan.

For the main course, diners may select from three elegant options: sea bass with saffron potato scales, venison loin delicately smoked with coffee accompanied by grilled cauliflower royale and rose-infused Roscoff onion petals, or a vegetarian Jack Be Little pumpkin risotto that combines comfort with refinement.

The experience continues with a trilogy of matured cheeses served with seasonal garnishes, before concluding with the grand finale — Sofitel’s signature Yule log, a festive classic reimagined with precision and indulgence.

The Christmas Eve set menu is priced at €99 per person, with an optional cheese supplement available.

Festive Cocktails and Seasonal Evenings
Throughout December, the bar at The 1040 becomes a destination in its own right. Open daily from 10am to midnight, it offers two signature festive cocktails created especially for the season.

The 1040 Winter Spice blends amber rum with Christmas spices for a warm, comforting profile, while the Pomme Grey Élégance combines caramelised apples and pears with Grey Goose vodka for a refined and aromatic experience. Designed to capture the spirit of French luxury, these cocktails are ideal for after-work gatherings, intimate moments or relaxed festive evenings in Brussels.

A Refined Christmas Brunch Experience
Festivities continue on 25 December and 1 January with a glowing festive brunch at The 1040. Guests are invited to savour a refined selection of sweet and savoury creations, thoughtfully prepared by the Executive Chef to reflect the essence of the season.

Each dish combines artisanal craftsmanship with subtle festive details, offering the perfect setting to extend holiday celebrations and create cherished memories with family and friends. The festive brunch menu is available at €90 per person.
