Belgium National Day

Brussels’ streets fill with black, yellow and red flags, music, theatre and parades on Belgium’s National Day. The main cultural and royal venues offer free entry, and after dark the sky explodes with colourful fireworks over the grand Royal Palace.

The army put on a show at place Poelaert, while sport and an arts and crafts market take place on the rue de la Régence.
