Selah Sue, real name Sanne Putseys, has signed with Columbia Records for the US market.
The artist from Leuven launched her first album in Belgium in March and it has been selling like hot cakes.
The singer is currently enjoying chart success with the song “Zanna”, a collaboration with Tom Barman of dEUS and the electronic group. The Subs. Profits from the song go to the Music For Life action.The album – which is untitled – includes the hits “Raggamuffin” and “Crazy Vibes”. The album has gone triple platinum in Belgium and is selling well in France and the Netherlands.
The album will be released in the U.S. in April 2012. Columbia Records currently distributes Beyonce and Adele. The UK label “Because UK” will also release the album in April.
