Antwerp Zoo will be all about love next month, appropriate as it is the month for lovers.
Visitors to the city centre site can celebrate Valentine’s Day among the animals in Antwerp’s most romantic setting.
You will get the chance to stroll through the sleeping zoo during the exclusive nocturne, go on an exciting speed date, or join the fish for an intimate dinner.
Just like humans, animals have their own unique relationships and ways of courting.
Meerkats choose eternal fidelity, while koalas swear by casual encounters.
Fireflies stick to an on-again, off-again relationship, and a polyamorous silverback gorilla can easily date multiple women at once. Discover these and other stories about animal courtship during this new edition of Date Night at the zoo.
This year, the historic halls will also open their doors for the first time.
In the “Winter Garden by Night” , unexpected insights into love and animal relationships will flutter around you.
Beneath the imposing skeleton of a fin whale, a playful exhibition about courtship in the animal kingdom awaits.
The Marble Hall will be transformed into an intimate bar full of tantalizing animal facts. Welcome to “Club Séparé” for a Valentine’s Day that will last longer than just one evening.
It all takes place from 12 to 15 February.
