I was looking for a date each year that was memorable, a date people would not forget. And May the Fourth be with you helps to make May 4th a memorable, empowering and entertaining day. Personal change and transforming the world doesn’t have to be boring. It can be fun.
Promises to Keep: Transform the World!
As the poet Robert Frost writes: “I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.” With your help, I would like to spread the word about Make A Promise Day far and wide. Please share this model proclamation with officials in your town, city, state/province, or nation and encourage them to issue the Make A Promise Day proclamation. There are no costs involved. But there are many benefits that will accrue to any jurisdiction that openly encourages citizens to tap into the power of making a promise.
My interest in promoting Make A Promise Day and the power of making a promise more generally goes beyond helping people change their lives for the better. That’s a big part of it. But I’m also interested in transforming the world. Making the world a better place. It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes a promise – many individual promises – to transform the world.
The following four-part mantra sums up the power of a promise: Make a Promise. Keep Your Word. Change Your Life. Transform the World.
