Christmas is coming and we’ll soon by thinking of novel gift ideas for friends and family.
The shops will abound with no end of the usual fayre: socks and festive jumpers to chocolates and bubbles.
But for those looking for something a bit different and innovative one Belgian company has (again) come up with a particularly original idea.
For the fifth year in a row, Brussels Beer Project (BBP) is back with its much anticipated hoppy Advent Calendar – a real collector’s item packed with surprises.
Behind every window is a different BBP beer, in fact 24 creations no less and to enjoy each day until Christmas.
The box contains a mix of BBP’s famous flagship brews and limited editions, from familiar classics to fresh exclusives just canned.
Among the highlights are icons like Delta IPA – the first IPA to win over Brussels – and its alcohol-free sibling Delta Zero.
The selection also features brand-new releases straight from the beer tanks, such as Stranger Days, a double mirabelle gose brewed in collaboration with Estonian brewery Põhjala, and Pmpkin Latte, a spiced, indulgent autumn treat.
Yeti Bang, BBP’s ultimate winter warmer, also makes its long-awaited return.
The 2025 edition also sports a brand-new look by illustrator Aysha, whose bright, colourful style is described as “an invitation to escape” and “the perfect cure for winter blues.”
Every detail on the box is alive with festive energy, playful graphics, and a modern twist, said a BBP spokesman.
The sometimes maligned city of Brussels – the capital of Europe – itself is hidden throughout the artwork with nods to BBP’s Dansaert and Bailli taprooms, the company’s Port Sud brewery, and the neighbourhoods that surround them.
This eye-catching design highlights how Brussels Beer Project is deeply rooted in its home city – “open to its people and to the world,” says the BBP spokesman.
As an added playful touch, the back of the box features a reinvented game of Goose, designed to be enjoyed without moderation this time…..
Priced at a reasonable €79, the BBP Advent Calendar is presented as the “ultimate companion” for long winter nights – and a great Christmas stocking filler for 2025.
It is positioned as the perfect gift to offer, share, or just to enjoy solo.
And what happens if you take a shine to one of the beers and it “steals your heart”?
Well, no worries there because the full range is available at BBP taprooms – Dansaert and Bailli in Brussels, Pigalle and Canal Saint-Martin in Paris, and BBP Le Bettignies in Lille.
The Brussels Beer Project has been breaking the mould since 2013 when it was first founded and has reinvented the Belgian beer scene since with collaborative, innovative – and sustainable – creations.
With two breweries in Brussels – including Port Sud, a B-Corp certified sustainable site – and six taprooms across Europe, BBP has brewed over 500 recipes to date, all described as “unique.”
The taprooms and breweries can also be privatized for events, from after work events to birthdays and, of course, those upcoming Christmas drinks get togethers with friends, family and colleagues.
“They offer a unique setting to celebrate the season among the tanks,” said the BBP spokesman.
