From Simple Plan, Tyla and Masego to one of Brussels’ most thought-provoking cultural festivals, these are four dates worth adding to your October calendar.
Belgium’s autumn cultural calendar is gathering pace, with October bringing an eclectic mix of international artists and festivals to Brussels. Whether you are looking for pop-punk nostalgia, contemporary R&B, global pop or something a little more cerebral, there is plenty happening.
Better still, at the time of writing, tickets remain available for these four Together picks.
Festival des Libertés
8–17 October 2026 | Théâtre National, Brussels
For something that goes beyond the traditional music festival, Festival des Libertés returns to Théâtre National for ten days of concerts, cinema, theatre, debates, exhibitions and performances.
The festival has built its identity around some of the biggest questions facing contemporary society, exploring freedom, democracy and human rights through culture and conversation. That makes it an interesting alternative to Belgium’s more conventional festival calendar.
Music remains a major part of the programme. This year’s line-up includes Abd Al Malik, Keziah Jones, Imany, Sleaford Mods, Altın Gün, ascendant vierge and Brussels artist Blu Samu, among others.
Tickets are sold separately for many of the performances, while parts of the programme are free. If you like your cultural evenings to leave you with something to talk about afterwards, this is one of October’s strongest picks.
Simple Plan
5 October 2026 | Forest National, Brussels
For a dose of early-2000s nostalgia, Canadian pop-punk favourites Simple Plan arrive in Brussels with their Bigger Than You Think! Europe Tour.
The tour celebrates more than 25 years of the band behind tracks including Perfect, Welcome to My Life and I’d Do Anything. Demand for the Brussels concert was strong enough for the show to be moved from Ancienne Belgique to the significantly larger Forest National.
They will also be joined by Neck Deep and Charlotte Sands, making this a particularly good pick for anyone whose playlists still have a soft spot for the golden age of pop-punk.
Masego
11 October 2026 | Forest National, Brussels
Masego brings his distinctive combination of jazz, R&B, soul and hip-hop to Forest National as part of his Fix Your Face Tour.
The Jamaican-American musician has developed a reputation for performances that blur the boundaries between a traditional concert and a late-night jazz session, with his saxophone playing central to his sound. His track Tadow, recorded with FKJ, helped introduce that sound to a global audience.
The Forest National date marks his biggest Belgian headline show to date, following two sold-out performances at Ancienne Belgique. For anyone looking for one concert to book this autumn, Masego is an easy addition to the shortlist.
Tyla
22 October 2026 | Forest National, Brussels
One of the biggest breakout stars of recent years is heading to Brussels this October. South African singer Tyla brings her distinctive mix of pop, R&B and amapiano to Forest National, following a rapid rise from emerging artist to international star.
Her global breakthrough came with Water, the hit that introduced millions of listeners to her smooth fusion of South African rhythms and contemporary pop. Since then, she has built a major international following while helping bring amapiano-influenced sounds further into the global mainstream.
Her Brussels show should be one of the liveliest dates on the autumn calendar, combining choreography, polished pop production and the South African influences at the heart of her sound. For anyone looking to catch one of contemporary pop’s most exciting young artists, Tyla is an easy October pick.
