Annecy Mountains: Travel to the wonders of the Alps

Isa Ferier went on a stunning trip to ‘The Little Venice of the Alps’.

The Annecy Mountains is one of our absolute favourite places, a corner of paradise which includes: Lake Annecy, La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, Les Sources du Lac d’Annecy and Thônes Cœur des Vallées… There are so many wonders to discover!

With a lake that is recognized as one of the purest in Europe and its sumptuous mountains, each season the region’s countless assets make it a dream destination. It also boasts 10 Michelin stars shared by five internationally- renowned chefs: Marc Veyrat, Yoann Conte, Laurent Petit, Jean Suplice and Stéphane Dattrino, making it a gourmet destination par excellence!

We set out to discover the old town of Annecy, nicknamed ‘The Little Venice of the Alps’. We were happy to stroll through the adorable medieval streets, and along the canals, where we sat on one of those romantic terraces. We went shopping, we visited places steeped in history, we climbed up to the top of the museum-castle to enjoy an exceptional view of the roofs of the old town and the lake. Heir to a long history, it has preserved an exceptional architectural heritage.

Annecy Mountains offers activities for everyone: hiking, cycling, water sports, paragliding in a microlight or hang-gliding, discovery of medicinal plants, and even forest baths with Camille: There are many events during the day, and in the evening. Take the water taxi for an unforgettable and unique aperitif on the lagoon site:
