BEPS: Secondary school opens at the international school

In our education news, we report on how BEPS International School expands to open a unique secondary school in September 2018.

BEPS International School students flourish academically, socially and intellectually. With its rigorous academic program, BEPS enables students to become independent and successful in their studies and in life.

At secondary school, students need not only to acquire deep knowledge but to be driven by their passion. To meet this challenge, the school is opening a secondary school which will combine the well-recognized educational approach of its primary school with the rigour of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes.

Head of School, Pascale Hertay, says: “Our students deserve an ambitious curriculum and a team of dedicated, high quality teachers. We implement 21st century teaching practices to engage students in experiences which reflect the world they are living in. At BEPS, they will develop the skills and attributes they need to become successful adults.”

The warm and caring environment of the new secondary school will give its students the necessary support during an exciting period of their lives.  The students will be encouraged to become responsible global citizens, wanting to make a difference in the world of tomorrow.

BEPS secondary school will be located close to its primary school in the heart of Brussels’ most desirable area, close to the Bois de La Cambre.

From September 2018, BEPS secondary school will open Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students from 11 to 14 years old. Following this BEPS will add one MYP level each year.
