Diamonds Prove To Be A Girls Best Friend

This year’s was called “Happy Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” with the theme being the glamour of the Fifties and diamonds. With a pink and black décor reminiscent of the world of films of this era, guests revelled in a number of surprises prepared by Chopard.

Using Marilyn Monroe’s famous song from the Howard Hawkes’ film, Gentlemen Prefer blondes, the Geneva jeweller infused the Cannes soirée with sexy fifties chic. Playing the game to perfection, guests admired the “diamonds” dress code imposed by their host down to the last detail, competing with the glamour of the Martinez Hotel, which was transformed into a Fifties cabaret for the event.

On stage, Crazy Horse, a temple of feminine sensuality, performed their cabaret. Although the legendary Parisian music hall is celebrating its 60th birthday this year, its creations, and its beautiful muses, remain timeless. With perfect curves, smouldering looks and endless grace, seven dancers demonstrated the extent of their charms and talent during a mini-show, entitled “Crazy Diamonds”, created specially for Chopard.

Bathed in light, these wonderful performances, showed-off pieces from the Red Carpet Haute Joaillerie collection, thrilling spectators equally dazzled by both the aesthetics and the mischievous elegance.

In keeping with the pink and black décor of the soirée, guests chose between pink Boizel champagne and cocktails created especially for Chopard by Grey Goose. Caroline Gr Jane Fondauosi-Scheufele’s invitation was accepted by a large number of personalities, some of them bedecked in Chopard diamonds for an event characterised by charm and sensuality.

Luminaries present included Jury members Uma Thurman and Jude Law, actress, Julia Saner, Bar Refaeli, Sonam Kapoor and Zhang Zilin, all in Chopard, as well as Naomi Campbell, Jo Jackson or Kenneth Cole. After a fun pasta party at around 1am, accompanied by Clarendelle wines, guests were lured onto the dance floor by the internationally renowned DJ Bob Sinclar and proceeded to dance the night away.
