The Belgian fashion retailer is facing growing criticism over delayed orders, refunds and communication as more customers come forward.
Junique Fashion, the Belgian clothing retailer that has built a strong following among younger shoppers, is facing a growing wave of customer complaints over its online orders. Shoppers say they have paid for clothes that have not arrived, waited weeks or even months for deliveries and struggled to receive clear answers from the company.
The complaints have now attracted the attention of consumer organisation Testachats, which published a report on 21 August detailing the growing number of cases. According to the organisation, it received around 30 complaints about Junique Fashion during 2026, including approximately 20 in August alone. The issues reported include undelivered orders, missed delivery promises, poor communication and difficulties obtaining refunds.
What Is Happening At Junique Fashion?
The current controversy appears to centre largely on the retailer’s online shop. Junique Fashion continues to operate its website and physical stores, while its online shop is currently promoting fashion items and a recent stock sale.
However, a number of customers say their experience has been very different from the smooth online shopping process they expected.
Testachats has published several recent complaints. One customer said an order placed on 10 July had still not been shipped by 11 August, despite receiving an order confirmation. Another customer who ordered on 26 July was told the delivery would arrive during the first week of August but was still waiting later in the month.
Perhaps more concerning are cases involving customers who have been waiting considerably longer. One complaint describes an order placed on 27 March that had still not been delivered four months later, despite repeated promises and a subsequent request for a refund.
These are individual customer complaints rather than findings of wrongdoing, but the growing number of similar reports has raised questions about the retailer’s ability to manage its online orders.
Junique Says There Are Delivery Delays
Junique Fashion has acknowledged that it is experiencing significant delivery delays. According to comments reported by Testachats from the company, the problems are connected to difficulties with an Italian manufacturer, with the retailer expecting the situation to be resolved within two weeks.
That explanation may account for some of the delays, but it does not fully address customers’ complaints about communication and refunds. For shoppers who have already paid, the problem is not simply that a parcel is late. In some cases, customers say they have been unable to establish when their order will actually arrive or when their money will be returned.
The retailer has also faced criticism on review platforms. Trustpilot currently gives Junique Fashion a score of 1.5 out of 5, although online reviews should always be treated cautiously and do not necessarily represent the experience of every customer.
This Is Not The Same As The Fake Junique Website
There is another unusual element to the story.
Earlier this year, Junique Fashion itself was the victim of an online scam in which fraudsters reportedly created a fake webshop using the company’s information. At least 20 customers were reported to have ordered through the fraudulent site.
The latest complaints, however, concern the official Junique Fashion website, rather than the fake shop. Testachats specifically makes this distinction, noting that affected customers say they checked the web address before ordering and received genuine order confirmations.
What Should Costumers Do?
For anyone currently waiting for a Junique Fashion order, the most important thing is to keep records of the purchase, payment, promised delivery date and all communication with the company.
Testachats advises customers whose orders have not arrived within the applicable delivery period to formally put the retailer in default, preferably in writing so there is a clear record.
The wider lesson is a familiar one in online fashion: a low price and an attractive social-media presence can make a retailer extremely popular very quickly, but customers ultimately depend on the less glamorous parts of the business — stock management, logistics and customer service.
For Junique Fashion, the immediate challenge is therefore not simply to deal with a few unhappy customers. It is to restore confidence among shoppers who have already paid for their clothes and reassure potential customers that orders, refunds and communication are being handled properly.
For now, there is no basis to describe Junique Fashion as a scam or to suggest that the company has been found guilty of wrongdoing. What is clear is that customer complaints have increased significantly, consumer organisations are paying attention, and a number of shoppers are still waiting for answers.
With Junique Fashion continuing to operate its online store, how the retailer handles those outstanding orders may determine whether the current backlash remains a temporary logistics problem or becomes a much more serious blow to the brand’s reputation.
