Each summer on every Friday, the streets in the centre of Brussels are full of roller bladers hurlting behind a truck on which a DJ blasts out loud techno and dance music. The roller parade takes place tradionally each Friday and is held on other days in other Belgian cities. The parade begins in early June and runds until late September. Stastically the sunniest months in Belgium.
An average of 6,000 people take part to the event, although sometimes the roller parade will have over 10,000 participants.
If you don’t have pair of roller blades pair you can hire a pair of K2 rollerblade (the price is €10). Children can also participate providing they have the appropriate protective clothing.
