The Tram Experience- which took its maiden voyage 2nd March, 2012- celebrated its 100th ride around Brussels on 31 May. In that time some 3,400 people have been aboard the tram and enjoyed a Michelin starred menu.
The rolling restaurant offers seven different menus, prepared by six chefs. The chefs place a focus on high-quality local produce and seasonal ingredients.
The Tram Experience is the result of the combined efforts of VISITBRUSSELS, STIB/MIVB and appliance company, Electrolux, which contributed to outfitting the tram with everything it needs to be a functional restaurant.
The innovative tram ride has been a great success so far and is sold out until early September. However, the ticket office is reopening on 4 June at 9 a.m. for tickets for the first week of September. Every Monday tickets will be made available for following weeks.
