The star of two of the biggest TV series of the 1980s and 1990s has been on a tour of Belgium, Germany and now the UK as he sits in on top talent shows in these countries.
Performances by contestants in Pop Idol 2011 were judged by special guest David Hasselhoff, the lead in hit TV shows Baywatch and Knight Rider. Despite opting for Alyssa as his favourite he couldn’t save her in the phone poll during a recent stint on the talent competition late last month.
Idol 2011 is now left with seven singers in the running and last Friday Alex Callier, the maestro behind Hooverphonic. He is the special guest of this week. With the judges Jean Blaute, Sylvia Van Driessche and Wouter Van Belle giving their opinions too.
Meanwhile, Hasselhoff is giving his opinions and advice to the new contestants in this year’s Britain’s Got Talent. Whether his charms will be enough to save the candidates he likes in the UK is another matter, as the Belgium audience obviously ignored his pleas.
