In our regular Wallonia events pages we highlight an excellent initiative.
“Changing tomorrow’s world of education together is everybody’s responsibility.” This is the basis for the organisation of the Out of the Books Festival which will take place in Waterloo during the weekend of the 15 and 16 September 2018 at the Ferme de Mont-Saint-Jean.
Out of the Books Festival was created through the desire to discover the tools and new technologies involving the world of education in order to improve practices. In a society that is in constant flux, the education system needs to be re-thought and take the needs of the new generation into account. Schools are too often focused on competition and results and we want to rediscover the pleasure of learning and promote the blossoming creativeness of our children.
We are sure that the sharing of ideas and the cooperation between our different participants are crucial to the success of such a project.
The Out of the Books Festival aims to provide a meeting place in the charming surroundings of the Ferme de Mont-Saint-Jean in Waterloo.
Back to nature and back to basic values!
THE FESTIVAL’S PATRON
Adrien Devyver is the patron of our project: “as patron of the TDA/H Belgique Association I give 100% support to the Out of the Books Festival which is a real spotlight on the amazing initiatives in education.”
ORGANISATION
Over two days the participants will roam around freely in order to see the different stands and may also attend the numerous lectures.
The Festival will kick off with a showing of the Julien Peron film “What is happiness for you? 7 million individuals, 7 million definitions.” which is a true source of inspiration for the society of tomorrow.
