A Pearl of a Bar

808

It is a gem of a place but only has six stools at the bar and a couple of tables laid out in this delightful 19th century arcade.

Naturally because it is named the Oyster Bar it offers variations of this pleasurable sea food and dishes of fois gras and salmon. The bar also serves drinks from a decent espresso, soft drinks, good white wine and especially best with a plate of oysters a fine and chilled glass of champagne.

I cannot  think of a much more pleasant way to spend a weekend lunchtime before heading into the throngs on Rue Neuve or the Boulevard Anspach.

The service is efficient and friendly and seeing that the bar is so small you are surpringly left alone to enjoy your meal.

Plate of oysters and a coupe de champagne €17 upwards.
