Spring is just around the corner and that heralds a new season of top cultural events in Brussels.
These include the tenth edition of the Brussels Art Nouveau Art Deco Festival which will be held on 14 & 15, 21 & 22 and 28 & 29 March.
The BANAD festival is an invitation to discover remarkable locations showcasing Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture in the Brussels Region.
Taking place over three weekends and covering three areas of the Brussels Region, the BANAD Festival offers an varied programme.
This consists of interior visits (around sixty, some of which are accessible for the very first time), guided thematic tours on foot or by bicycle, unique conferences, inclusive and family activities, and finally the famous Object Fair and Restaurateurs & Experts Fair.
On the menu for interior visits: the “Essentials” (must-sees that you have to see at least once in your life), the “Classics” (some of which, such as public buildings, schools and museums, are regularly open to visitors but not from an architectural heritage perspective).
There is also the ‘New’ (never before open to the BANAD public) and finally the ‘Previously New’ (new additions from previous years, rescheduled for visitors who may have missed them during the last editions of the festival).
Meanwhile, from 25 to 28 March 2026, the Brosella Spring Festival returns for its fourth edition.
It takes place at VOLTA, Centre for Music in Molenbeek, a venue that perfectly matches the festival’s intimate atmosphere and artistic DNA.
Over four evenings, the festival presents a vibrant selection of contemporary Belgian jazz, with 3 live concerts and 1 DJ set each night. The programme highlights album release concerts and brand-new projects, ranging from improvisation and spiritual jazz to electronic influences.
Artists such as Dorian Dumont, Lupo Spaccaro, BEX, Wet Enough!?, Compro Oro, N∆BOU, OLA TUNJI (led by saxophonist Ornella Noulet) and The Brums showcase the diversity and vitality of today’s Belgian jazz scene. Each night concludes with a DJ set, extending the dialogue between jazz and club culture.
A key highlight of the festival is BXL x LDN Interplay III, a co-production between the Brosella Festival and London-based organisation Tomorrow’s Warriors.
Six young musicians from Brussels and London collaborate under the mentorship of Wajdi Riahi and Cassie Kinoshi. After an intensive residency at VOLTA, they will present their compositions during the opening night on Wednesday 25 March.
