Just a stone’s throw from the Atomium,  the De Wand station is a symbolic crossing point between the suburbs and the city of Brussels. It is now adorned by a massive work of art created by 30 graffiti artists from Belgium and beyond.

This is no ‘guerilla’ action but this massive work of art was commissioned by the Brussels’ Region for the renovation of public spaces. Entitled “The Walk” it has now grown over the years to become Europe’s biggest graffiti wall extending over 4,500 square meters.

The total cost of the project was of 200 000 euro and no less than 6,000 spray paint cans were used during the process.
