Sunday 16 September will be the now traditional car free day in central Brussels.

The STIB public transport network will be free of charge, providing a good opportunity to test and combine several means of transport: bus, metro, walk, roller-skate, bike…

The Car Free Day aims at changing attitudes and opening a public debate on urban mobility and a wide range of activities and cultural events will take place all over the city.

Car Free Sunday: a lively day in perspective and above all a perfect opportunity to visit and discover – with the family or with friends – the city of Brussels with less cars, less noise and less pollution!

The car free day kicks off Mobility Week, seven days devoted to energy saving transportation.
