Hollywood memorabilia auction

If you’re running out of interesting anecdotes at your dinner parties then look no further than a Hollywood memorabilia auction. Tinseltown’s Premiere Props are auctioning off over a 1,000 items, including props, costumes and personal items.

Among the highlights are Larry Hagman’s Airstream motorhome, used as his dressing room from his days as J.R. in Dallas, Brad Pitt and Angelina Joli’s stunt guns from Mr. & Mrs Smith and a signed copy of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Double Fantasy album in mint condition.

If kitsch is more your thing then give a central place in your lounge to the throne from Cecil B. DeMille’s epic film The Ten Commandments – it was crafted in exquisite gold tinged metals and rare woods with inlaid hand-carved hieroglyphs. More up to date, there are also items from Hugh Jackman’s upcoming film Prisoners. For your fancy dress night bid for Basil Rathbone’s (Sherlock Holmes) deerslayer cap, Nigel Bruce’s (Dr. Watson) black tie and J.R.’s sunglasses and even his belt buckle.

Complete your evening by entertaining your guests to a rendition of Begin the Beguine on legendary band leader Artie Shaw’s famous Buffet Clarinet.

“As with all of our Hollywood Extravaganza auctions, we always work to include a wide variety of items so that all fans of Hollywood are able to own a little bit of entertainment history,” says Dan Levin, Vice President of Premiere Props. “We definitely have something for everyone.”

The auction will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Premiere Props’ headquarters in El Segundo, CA. But you don’t have to fly out there – fans can bid via telephone or online.

You can start bidding now by placing bids online at www.icollector.com and www.liveauctioneers.com.
