Visit.brussels is asking us to “Go out, smile and (cultural) Brussels will spoil you!”
Visit.brussels and the Brussels cultural sector have joined forces to launch the ‘Let’s go out in Brussels’ contest. Three residents or visitors who have shared a selfie of their cultural visit to Brussels on social media between 14 December 2015 and 31 January 2016, will have a chance of winning one year of free culture in the Belgian capital.
With over 24,000 events each year, Brussels is an impressive cultural reservoir. Museums, exhibitions, concerts, plays, opera, dance – the choice is almost infinite, qualitative and diverse. This Winter, visit.brussels, the Brussels Kunstenoverleg (BKO), the Réseau des Arts in Brussels (RAB), the Brussels Museums Council (BMC), and the Cultuurcentrum Brussel have set up a contest for those relish an opportunity to find even more artistic discoveries in Brussels.
Taking part is easy: during their visit to a cultural place of their choice in Brussels, participants take a selfie and share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, accompanied by a note and the official hashtag: #LetsGoBrussels. To be taken into account, the Facebook posts must of course be made public. On 1 February, each social network will designate its winner, determined by the number of ‘likes.
The three winners will receive a year of free culture in Brussels, consisting of one free pair of tickets per participating cultural institution: Ancienne Belgique, Anima Festival, Argos, Atelier 210, Autoworld, Belgian Comic Strip Center, BELvue Museum, Beursschouwburg, Botanique, BOZAR, Brigittines, BRONKS, Brosella Folk & Jazz, Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film, Brussels Museum of the Mill and Food, CC Jacques Franck, CC La Vénerie, Children’s Museum, Choco-Story, CINEMA GALERIES, Cinquantenaire Museum, Concert@Home, Coudenberg, GC Candelaershuys, GC De Kriekelaar, GC De Kroon, GC De Linde, GC De Maalbeek, GC De Markten, GC De Platoo, GC De Rinck, GC De Vaartkapoen, GC De Zeyp, GC Den Dam, GC Elzenhof, GC Essegem, GC Everna, GC Heembeek-Mutsaard, GC Kontakt, GC Nekkersdal, GC Op-Weule, GC Pianofabriek, GC Ten Noey, GC Ten Weyngaert, Erasmus house, Espace Catastrophe/Festival UP!, Europalia, Expérimentarium de Physique (ULB), Filemon, Flagey, Jewish Museum of Belgium, Kaaitheater, Kunstenfestivaldesarts, KVS, La Bellone, La Monnaie/De Munt, Les Halles de Schaerbeek, Met-X, Midis de la Poésie, MOOF Museum, Muntpunt, Musée de la Médecine, Museum of Ixelles, Museum of Natural Sciences, Musical Instruments Museum – MIM, Muziekpublique, Offscreen, Parlamentarium, Passa Porta, Planetarium, Porte de Hal, Public Aquarium of Brussels, Recyclart, Rideau de Bruxelles, Royal Library of Belgium, Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History, Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, Théâtre La Balsamine, Théâtre Varia, Vlaams-Nederlands Huis deBuren, Wabo, Wiels, Wolubilis, Zinnema and ZoArt Cultural Space.
