Made in Brussels – Group Show

Bruno Timmermans – Jimmy de Bock – Benjamin SPaRK – Antoine Rose – Raphaël Charles

Having brought together in 2012 two Belgian artists, Bruno Timmermans and Jimmy Bock , the Mazel Galerie has expanded its Made In Belgium theme by adding three new artists living and (or) working in Brussels .

Made in Brussels is a multidisciplinary group exhibition, bringing together different media:

photography (Timmermans, Bock , Rose), paint (Benjamin Spark) and design (Raphael Charles).

Bruno Timmermans continues his series of ‘New Icons’ with a portrait of the artist Jeff Koons, and he has developed a new set of photographs whose starting point is a body designed at the graphics palette.

Jimmy Bock continues his work on cultural buildings, with one of Brussels’ most famous symbols: the Atomium. Going well beyond the simple capture of the monument, the artist combines several hundred shots, layers that juxtapose day and night, static and dynamic.

Raphael Charles describes himself as “a self-taught creator of objects”. We will exhibit his famous carpet ‘20/30’ (in reference to the size of coal), and also others creations exclusive to the gallery.

Antoine Rose presents a selection of his recent works from the ‘Up in the Air Miami Beach’ series. Onboard a helicopter that he captures the scenes life down below.

Finally, we will present two new works by the artist Benjamin SPaRk, now recognized as a rising star in French-Belgian street art. He has experimented and developed his aesthetic language to gone beyond his usual focus on superheroes.
