The book “Royal Issues” written by the RTBF journalist Frédéric Deborsu’s was reeased in Dutch and French on Tuesday.
The book contains (amongst other things) insinuations about Crown Prince Filip’s sexuality and the motivation for his marriage to Princess Mathilde.
Initially, the RTBF had responded by saying that the book had nothing to do with Mr Deborsu’s work as a journalist there, as he had taken a month’s unpaid leave to write it.
However, there has now been a change of heart and the Francophone public broadcaster has now banned one of it’s most familiar face from appearing on screen for the next month.
In the meantime, Frédéric Deborsu will work at the RTBF’s documentation department. The RTBF has also distanced itself from the book.
