1215

Faithful to its values and following on from the success of the first edition organized in December 2013, EXKi’s Solidarity Soup is back.

On December the 14th, EXKi invites children and adults to take part in a fun and friendly initiative that will provide some warmth to the needy. Everybody is welcome from 15h00 to 18h00 at the EXKi located at the Bourse in the centre of Brussels to clean, peel and dice vegetables in order to make a delicious soup that will afterwards be delivered to the non-profit organization Opération Thermos. The latter will then distribute the soup every night in the Botanique metro station to people in need.

The organization Opération Thermos was started is December 1987 by scout leaders. Aware of the plight of the homeless, they took the initiative of bringing coffee and sandwiches every night to railway stations. Today, 30 volunteer teams gather from 1 November to 30 April to provide the homeless of Brussels with hot meals and drinks.
