The Mercedes House is more than just a showroom. Of course you’ll find the classy cars but you’ll also discover a great deal more. Within it you’ll find WY, a restaurant headed by Michelin two-star chef, Bart de Pooter. There’s a shop and regular temporary art exhibitions. The Mercedes House also builds a further link with the cultural community by hosting classical music and jazz concerts.
The concert program is the outcome of a fruitful collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Belgium/Luxembourg and Outhere, a top Belgian classical and jazz music publisher. Well-known labels include Fuga Libera, Aeon, Alpha and Ricercar.
The latest event is a jazz concert featuring Gábor Winand and Ramón Valle on February 27. Although they each have their own repertoire, both solo artists have been playing together since 2007, a collaboration that led to the creation of the joint album Fabulas. Gábor Winand is a Hungarian singer who also plays clarinet, flute and saxophone. Born in 1964, Cuban pianist Ramón Valle was a child prodigy in the 1970s, and since then he has brought out five albums.
