Our latest Brussels hotels article introduces a ‘starred’ meal you do not have to enjoy at a hotel bedroom table.
Restaurants were not yet allowed to reopen in February, and there are no prospects for March. However, the pleasure of eating at a table, as if you were at a starred restaurant, will be possible in Brussels as from March. The Steigenberger Wiltcher’s has challenged itself to offer starred meals with the complicity of a chef who was a prize winner in the latest Gault&Millau Guide. Far from a simple room service, chef Kevin Lejeune and his team will allow you to spend a real evening “as if you were at a restaurant”. A starred meal in a multi-star setting, enough to make your taste buds and pupils shine for an evening.
Chef Kevin Lejeune, a young starred chef since 2019 and named Young Chef of the Year by the latest Gault&Millau Belux guide, will be at the helm of the starred dinners throughout the month of March at Steigenberger Wiltcher’s until Easter. For the occasion, a large part of the 5-star rooms on the second floor have been converted into individual dining rooms so that the occupants of the family rooms and suites can come and enjoy a starry stay as a family or as a couple (and therefore always in their ‘safety bubble’) through these 6-star dinners’ (5 stars plus one) without having to eat next to their beds.
After having made themselves comfortable in their room and having relaxed with a surprise from the chef, the couples will be invited to go to their luxury dining room on the second floor. There they will be welcomed by the maître d’ of the La Canne en Ville restaurant (the restaurant of chef Kevin Lejeune). A 4-course meal, starting with a glass of Bollinger champagne, will then be served by the chef and his team, in accordance with the strictest rules of elegance, comfort and refinement inherent to the great houses, but still respecting all current sanitary measures in place. From their arrival until the next morning, small melodious tasty notes will highlight the stay thanks to a score that only a starred chef can compose to help transform this luxury stay into a real dream trip.
